Hello, My First Name is Fixated. My Last Name is… I’m Too Busy to Grow…

    (Written December 20th, 2014)

(1094.2) 100:0.2 Spiritual growth is mutually stimulated by intimate association with other religionists. Love supplies the soil for religious growth — an objective lure in the place of subjective gratification — yet it yields the supreme subjective satisfaction. And religion ennobles the commonplace drudgery of daily living. –The Urantia Book, Paper 100 – Religion in Human Experience

You grew up in prejudice and ignorance…parents seeking pleasures…
no good example of evaluating content for experiential meaning
your beliefs remain at the surface of life…with no reason to measure
or evaluate what love is beyond the surface…remain fixated on dreaming…
of bigger toys for bigger girls and boys…temporary joys of getting…

Ever do I watch you fixated on technology…TV…cars…TV…boats…
    TV…bigger homes…TV…money…TV…sexuality…TV…fast food…TV…foot ball…
    TV…alcohol…TV…drugs…TV…texting…TV…computers…TV…new clothes and coats…
    TV…dinner out…TV…theater movie…TV…new appliances…TV…golf…
    TV…skiing the slopes…TV…swimming…TV…backyard barbecue…TV…new shop tools…
    TV…a bigger and better TV… wait!… new model out…bigger better TV…

Life becomes the shallow surface meanings for materialistic fools…
Fixated Too Busy to Grow… embryonic orphaned soul…is too blind to see…
None of these temporary pleasures have meaning in eternity…
the answer to why the masses remain asleep…in blind fascination…
children are not included…so they imitate…grow up to be…what they see…
as is taught the child…so go families, communities, cities, nations…
    and ultimately…government rulers……and whole of humanity…

True religion is a personal inner experience of the discovery that our Paradise Father has sent a portion–a fragment of his divine spirit to indwell our human minds. And through this discovery…begin to share with his divine spirit…all that we think…all that we aspire to…learning to listen to the still small voice within…ever inspiring, beckoning, urging and leading us along the right unique path to self-control, self-mastery and spiritual growth.

And ultimately, in looking back…we see that…the imitation
of the divine leadings from within…was the key to true
    character perfection… –Tim R Walls
