The philosophy behind separation of church and ‘llstate in the first amendment (USA government still standing) was to keep STATE from corrupting CHURCH…..You are the only one, Bradly. who is confused about what is “political”…
A completely false claim. It was to prevent an official state church, as was common throughout Europe, which became and becomes an agent of corruption and domination and persecution to religionists and congregations and free speech and free assembly…and prevent the Pope’s (or any Priesthood’s) domination of political and social process and will – the corruption and domination of the state by the Church!
“The Church” was “The Problem”! Personal freedom and religious liberty is “the philosophy behind the First Amendment”. The Amendment protected the State, the citizenry, and the churches, and religion itself from THE CHURCH…ANY CHURCH!!! For the benefit of ALL CHURCHES AND RELIGIONISTS as well as the State to prevent being dictated to by any central authority…whether king, pope, potentate, priest, or other.
Why did the Puritans and Quakers and Baptists and Mennonites and Methodists and Anglicans and Lutherans and so many others come to America? To escape the persecution by the corrupt clutches of THE Church! ANY State sponsored Church or any Church sponsored State especially and specifically the Church of England and the Roman Catholic churches.
In reality, both institutions are protected from the other by the Amendment separating them, but especially are religionists protected from a central authoritarian church.
Personal politics is easily defined…and on display.

….and yet, you never share any of that good news, Bradly…but you really do have much UB forum history going on and on about the absolute necessity for suffering in this life and dog souls and reincarnation because the UB does NOT support those errors of history so spinning the clear “not the truth” statements in the UB to make it appear as if the UB is a wrong MODERN interpretation of what is correct about dog souls is about the only sections of the UB you seem to be interesting in….
You would not need the $$ from people who will only give it to you if you keep the “secret” and prove that the UB is not really saying what it says….maybe as an atonement for so much spin, you could go take a ceramics class and learn how to use the wheel – spin is best understood when the science of it is in the human hand to direct to “perfection”….
