Yeah, I agree.  I only brought it up as something to think about.  Jesus’ situation was special in that he had a preexistent personality.  Humans technically don’t have that luxury.  Even so, Gabriel made his announcement the day following conception.  The zygote has at least two cells, possibly 4 within the first 30 hours after fertilization.  I’m not saying that Michael’s personality was crammed into those cells.  The way I understand it is that personality is the pattern that arranges the energy within the cells.  The physical pattern is built into the DNA, the personality pattern is something else, and all we know about it is that it unifies and arranges and is essentially a part of the original personality, the First Person of Deity.

The question for me would be; did the personality of Jesus exist as a “twofold personality” from the beginning of conception or was the “twofoldness” a gradually acquired personality attribute? Jesus was not fully conscious of his divinity till after his baptism.

As Mara pointed out on another thread, personality is characterized by morality-awareness.  This is an awareness of the relativity of relationships with other persons.  Personality, using mind ministry, has the ability to discern conduct levels and choosingly discriminate between them. This ability of personality to morally discriminate is evidence of its high origin.  The ability to discriminate and choose between right and wrong, goodness and evil is part of its unifying function.  And this is because personality is capable of discriminating between both ends and means in determining the worthiness of a goal. (16:7.4) And we know that every personality relationship is an end in itself.

112:2.8 Everything nonspiritual in human experience, excepting personality, is a means to an end. Every true relationship of mortal man with other persons — human or divine — is an end in itself.

This may all be true of personality in general but what of the “twofold personality” of the incarnated Creator Sons?

The finite dimensions of personality have to do with cosmic length, depth and breadth.  Length refers to meaning which gives direction to evolutionary progression. Depth refers to value, embracing attitudes toward life and living. Breadth refers to insight, the mechanism by which we coordinate, associate and organize our selfhood.  Insight means the capacity to experience unchallengeable consciousness of cosmic reality. Cosmic insight is made available to us by the cosmic mind in association with the Adjuster.

But what of twofold personalities of the Bestowal Creator Sons?  These personalities are finite and Infinite, no?

112:2.15 Personality, both human and superhuman, is characterized by an inherent cosmic quality which may be called “the evolution of dominance,” the expansion of the control of both itself and its environment.

Personality brings many things to selfhood: self-consciousness; morality awareness; free will; and the inherent ability to unify the self according to the cosmic quality called, “the evolution of dominance”.  The evolution of dominance means that personality is designed to allow spirit dominance. Personality inherently causes spirit to strive for mastery over energy-matter through the mediation of mind (12:8.14).  This is also called self-mastery, something Jesus talked about.

What do you think about the super additive twofold personality of Bestowal Creator Sons?  I there a uniqueness to these personalities that are neither exclusively human or superhuman?  Are you aware of anything in TUB about this or is this part of the mystery of incarnation?

Self-mastery is the goal of the seven psychic circles (113:1.6).  The seven psychic circles are a system of progressive personality realization (110:6.1).  As the psychic circles are ascended the personality becomes more real (110:6.10).  A real personality is one that is spirit dominated, the evolution of dominance.  This evolution of dominance by the personality is part of the experience of the Supreme and Jesus is the Master of the experience of Supremacy (101:6.5)

So,  the Supreme gathers evolution of dominance personality from ascending finite personality AND descending personality in order to become twofold in nature.  Is this correct?
