Revelators in their narratives use popular psychology terms of the late 19th – early 20th century; some terms have since fallen out of use by the psychological community, however. For example, words like Idiot, lunatic, feeble-minded, normal-minded, stupid, superior, inferiorretarded, and dull are psychology terms found throughout the papers. They are now considered disparaging and no longer formally used. Interestingly, these terms were associated with the eugenics program of the late 19th to early 20th century.  Further, I speculate that the UB term, “Morontia,” is derived from the word “moron,” which is a psychology term associated with the eugenics movement, as well.  The UB is a book of mind, and psychology is the science of mind.
