Imagine you’re in the second Garden of Eden, and Eve announces that Michael (Jesus) will incarnate soon. She and Adam stand before their assembled workers; they know they will die before long, leaving Urantia to their divinely appointed successors. Eve wants to assure the workers that their labors are valuable, that they are paving the way for others who will enlighten humanity, even the co-creator of Urantia and millions of other worlds.
Eve says to her beloved family and friends:
“Only recently we received an intriguing message from the ruler of this universe, the Paradise Creator Son, Michael. He spoke of his impending mission to this world. Such an epochal revelation would be highly unusual and a supreme blessing to Earth.”
And that promise became a reality when Michael of Nebadon incarnated as Jesus of Nazareth 38,000 years later.
Eve and Adam’s bestowal prepared the way for two subsequent epochal revelations. Their work laid a spiritual foundation for Urantia, one that Melchizedek would build upon. One that Michael, in his role as Jesus, then sanctified and perfected.
A new reverence for God and a richer understanding of our Universal Father may be Adam and Eve’s greatest achievement and finest legacy. They ever taught one God over all, and in all. That monotheism became the foundation of a progressing civilization, as later expanded and illuminated by Melchizedek and Jesus.
Because of Eve and Adam’s life-long ministry and civilizing work, and that of their successors, Melchizedek and Michael, a city of God now exists in the inner life of every normal-minded human, one that each person can visit within, where the Father’s Spirit dwells and the Spirit of Truth abides.
