The desire to do good to others and to freely and unselfishly bestow upon others the divine affection we receive from God is the will of God and the way that we become like God through the transformative power of the indwelling spirit.
In this online spiritual retreat, we will illuminate the practice of loving service through personal stories. Our teaching tales show how loving service comes in all sorts of forms and encounters; they will help to reveal how we are currently already serving others in a Jesusonian way. The exploration of the different rungs on the ascending ladder of service points to our path of growth in serving God and other persons at higher and wider levels.
Personal stories of loving service will be shared by several individuals. A period of silent contemplation between each short presentation will allow for reflection and integration of what we have heard, learned, and felt. The periods of meditation will be followed by group discussion facilitated by Agnès Lazar and Guy Perron. There will also be periodic 5-minute refreshment breaks.
