Dear members of the Urantia family,
It is with deep gratitude and a great sense of responsibility that I assume the presidency of Urantia Association International, effective April 1. Since January, I have been training with Enrique Traver, the outgoing president. This mandate represents a precious opportunity for me to serve the Urantia community and to work, with the support of our great team, the International Service Board (ISB) and the International Representative Council (IRC), to expand this revelation that enlightens our souls and minds.
Our mission goes beyond the simple intellectual study of The Urantia Book. My most sincere desire is to inspire everyone to live their teachings to the fullest, integrating them into our daily lives and embodying love and truth in our interactions with our brothers and sisters. It is not only a matter of understanding, but of experiencing, feeling, and manifesting the Father’s will in our lives.
Jesus came to Earth to reveal the Father to us, and today we have the same responsibility: to reveal God to humanity. As The Urantia Book so beautifully states:
… Jesus’ great contribution to the values of human experience was not that he revealed so many new ideas about the Father in heaven, but rather that he so magnificently and humanly demonstrated a new and higher type of living faith in God (196:0.3).
The Publication Mandate states that the book is given to those who are ready to receive it well in advance of the day of its worldwide mission and enjoins us to study the life of Jesus, for it is in him that we find the inspiration and light to become enlightened actors in an ever-changing world.
Working together with faith, love, and perseverance, we will continue to ensure that this revelation touches and transforms more and more hearts.
We must, each in our own way, continue this sublime work by embodying beauty, goodness and truth in our daily lives. Let us be assured that every step taken towards these ideals is supported by Heaven, even if we do not always perceive the immediate effects and may not perceive them here on earth. As revelators inform us, the acts are ours, and the consequences belong to God.
The mission of Urantia Association is to encourage the study of The Urantia Book and to disseminate its incomparable teachings. But beyond this primary mission, we wish to accompany each one on the path of discovery and development of a deeper relationship with the divine within. By fostering cosmic consciousness and the elevation of spiritual perception, we aspire that each individual will recognize the Fatherhood of God and thus contribute to the realization of universal brotherhood.
