One person I am communicating with by mail states he is “not the greatest math whiz, but how is 606 a tenth planet?” Good question.

If Urantia is 606 of Satania and a tenth decimal planet, where did the count start? Searching the book I don’t see the answer. Could I get some help for this person please?

    Good question Mark,

The author uses the word ‘about’ in the decimal planet description:

58:0:1 (664.1) But about one world in ten is designated as a decimal planet and assigned to the special registry of the Life Carriers; and on such planets we are permitted to undertake certain life experiments in an effort to modify or possibly improve the standard universe types of living beings.

This is a good question! You can read the following references and interpret as you think best.

    36:2.11 [Part II]
The number ten — the decimal system — is inherent in the physical universe but not in the spiritual. The domain of life is characterized by three, seven, and twelve or by multiples and combinations of these basic numbers. There are three primal and essentially different life plans, after the order of the three Paradise Sources and Centers, and in the universe of Nebadon these three basic forms of life are segregated on three different types of planets. There were, originally, twelve distinct and divine concepts of transmissible life. This number twelve, with its subdivisions and multiples, runs throughout all basic life patterns of all seven superuniverses. There are also seven architectural types of life design, fundamental arrangements of the reproducing configurations of living matter. The Orvonton life patterns are configured as twelve inheritance carriers. The differing orders of will creatures are configured as 12, 24, 48, 96, 192, 384, and 768. On Urantia there are forty-eight units of pattern control — trait determiners — in the sex cells of human reproduction.
    36:2.15 [Part II]
The planetary life-planning laboratories are situated on the second satellite of this world number two. In these laboratories the Life Carriers and all their associates collaborate with the Melchizedeks in the effort to modify and possibly improve the life designed for implantation on the decimal planets of Nebadon. The life now evolving on Urantia was planned and partially worked out on this very world, for Urantia is a decimal planet, a life-experiment world. On one world in each ten a greater variance in the standard life designs is permitted than on the other (nonexperimental) worlds.
42:7.4 The local universes are of decimal construction. There are just one hundred distinguishable atomic materializations of space-energy in a dual universe; that is the maximum possible organization of matter in Nebadon. These one hundred forms of matter consist of a regular series in which from one to one hundred electrons revolve around a central and relatively compact nucleus. It is this orderly and dependable association of various energies that constitutes matter.
42:9.2 The number seven is basic to the central universe and the spiritual system of inherent transmissions of character, but the number ten, the decimal system, is inherent in energy, matter, and the material creation. Nevertheless the atomic world does display a certain periodic characterization which recurs in groups of seven — a birthmark carried by this material world indicative of its far-distant spiritual origin.
57:8.8 After making a painstaking survey of the planet, this commission returned to Jerusem and reported favorably to the System Sovereign, recommending that Urantia be placed on the life-experiment registry. Your world was accordingly registered on Jerusem as a decimal planet, and the Life Carriers were notified that they would be granted permission to institute new patterns of mechanical, chemical, and electrical mobilization at the time of their subsequent arrival with life transplantation and implantation mandates.

Planetary numbers are assigned as humanity appears according to the connection evolution of the Adjutants. The decimal assignments are for the sequence of Life Carrier ministry or maybe even before.

So….the order of numeric assignments and the actual sequential order of humanity’s evolutionary arrival can be millions of years out of sync of each other. Bio evolution is not uniform from planet to planet.

Was Urantia’s bio evolution faster or slower than other worlds in Satania? Yes indeed! It was both! :good:

Urantia was most likely #600 or #610 for life implantation but if the wrong frog jumps the wrong direction even one time, human habitation may be delayed a couple million years.

I don’t think life implantation has 100% success rate for the Life Carriers and the Adjutants to achieve the goal of human evolutionary result either. I think all human habitation does result in eventual evolutionary Light and Life without failure. But the time for that result is also different for each numbered world.

Evolution is not predictable in sequence or time required for eventual outcomes. No matter how certain the outcomes may be, the process itself is less certain indeed. But life implantation results are not certain, especially for decimal worlds, but most especially related to human evolution after numeric assignments of habitation but prior to L&L on a world affected by rebellion and/or default.

Or so I understand the teachings. Feel free to quote me as you wish…or disagree!! Hahaha…

I think the clue is in the description of the Life Carrier laboratories maintained by the Melchizedeks. In 58:1 they report the Carriers projected a sodium chloride pattern in advance of life initiation here. They also say 606 is the sixtieth opportunity to make changes. From this reading I suggest they knew in advance they had an experiment going. There is no clue anywhere (that I can find) of when was the first or that they were mathematically diligent and absolute for each experimental planet, precisely each tenth planet. As Rick said above, the word “about” is used.

Maybe it’s a moot point. Perhaps it really isn’t important, but we do get a little perplexed sometimes when we seemingly catch them in what looks like a math error! Are there other statements in the book causing a bit of confusion or mystery? (Could we engage in a bit of humor here?)

Based on the following quote I am quite convinced that Urantia was the 600th planet in Satania for life implantation but 606th to be declared inhabited…two distinct sequential orders of numerical identification.

65:4.1 (734.5) Do not overlook the fact that Urantia was assigned to us as a life-experiment world. On this planet we made our sixtieth attempt to modify and, if possible, improve the Satania adaptation of the Nebadon life designs, and it is of record that we achieved numerous beneficial modifications of the standard life patterns. To be specific, on Urantia we worked out and have satisfactorily demonstrated not less than twenty-eight features of life modification which will be of service to all Nebadon throughout all future time

Thank you Bradly. Your find seems to prove the point about each 10th planet.

    I found this helpful also:

    49:0.3 [Part II]
Satania itself is an unfinished system containing only 619 inhabited worlds. Such planets are numbered serially in accordance with their registration as inhabited worlds, as worlds inhabited by will creatures. Thus was Urantia given the number 606 of Satania, meaning the 606th world in this local system on which the long evolutionary life process culminated in the appearance of human beings.
Urantia is the sixtieth experimental planet, but the 606th to achieve inhabitation. Golly this great clarity!!
I will be glad to share your find with the gent I mentioned at the beginning here.

Some more “Satania Math” related to the numeric sequence differences in the order in which life is first implanted compared to the order in which it is considered inhabited by humans.

Urantia was the 600th life implantation world in Satania (or the 610th – see below) but was the 606th to reach the Life Carrier and Adjutant achievement of human habitation.

There were 607 inhabited worlds at the time of Lucifer’s rebellion and manifesto. There were 619 inhabited worlds when the Papers were written, but I cannot determine how many worlds had life implantation then, but were not yet proclaimed inhabited… but it could have been several.

53:1.1 (601.3) Lucifer was not an ascendant being; he was a created Son of the local universe, and of him it was said: “You were perfect in all your ways from the day you were created till unrighteousness was found in you.” Many times had he been in counsel with the Most Highs of Edentia. And Lucifer reigned “upon the holy mountain of God,” the administrative mount of Jerusem, for he was the chief executive of a great system of 607 inhabited worlds.

There were at least 610 worlds with life implantation when the UB was written:

58:0.1 (664.1) IN ALL Satania there are only sixty-one worlds similar to Urantia, life-modification planets. The majority of inhabited worlds are peopled in accordance with established techniques; on such spheres the Life Carriers are afforded little leeway in their plans for life implantation. But about one world in ten is designated as a decimal planet and assigned to the special registry of the Life Carriers; and on such planets we are permitted to undertake certain life experiments in an effort to modify or possibly improve the standard universe types of living beings.

There were 36 worlds in Satania that were near life implantation by the time of the UB’s writing and there were/are 200 worlds approaching readiness for life implantation “within a few million years”, leaving about 150 or so planets that are still more than a “few million years” from life implantation….to finally reach the 1000 populated evolutionary worlds of Satania.

I am quite sure that very few worlds anywhere ever have the same number for both life implantation sequence and human habitation sequence. Evolution is simply not so predictable or uniform. Some worlds evolve from life implantation to human habitation more quickly than others. Not all worlds which receive life implantation actually succeed in the achievement of humanity at all which certainly would also effect the sequential numerical assignment of each world which does achieve human habitation.

49:0.3 (559.3) Satania itself is an unfinished system containing only 619 inhabited worlds. Such planets are numbered serially in accordance with their registration as inhabited worlds, as worlds inhabited by will creatures. Thus was Urantia given the number 606 of Satania, meaning the 606th world in this local system on which the long evolutionary life process culminated in the appearance of human beings. There are thirty-six uninhabited planets nearing the life-endowment stage, and several are now being made ready for the Life Carriers. There are nearly two hundred spheres which are evolving so as to be ready for life implantation within the next few million years.

Our local universe is quite young. Nebadon has less than 4 million of its eventual 10 million inhabited worlds – not quite 40% of evolutionary completion. But Satania itself is well over 60% inhabited!

32:2.9 (359.6) The organization of planetary abodes is still progressing in Nebadon, for this universe is, indeed, a young cluster in the starry and planetary realms of Orvonton. At the last registry there were 3,840,101 inhabited planets in Nebadon, and Satania, the local system of your world, is fairly typical of other systems.

32:2.10 (359.7) Satania is not a uniform physical system, a single astronomic unit or organization. Its 619 inhabited worlds are located in over five hundred different physical systems. Only five have more than two inhabited worlds, and of these only one has four peopled planets, while there are forty-six having two inhabited worlds.

My math would suggest it will take 50 – 100 million years for Satania to go from its first life implantation world to its 1000th inhabited evolutionary world, a span of 50,000 – 100,000 (Urantia) years between Life Carrier and Adjutant successess!!

    But then….math is hard! Hahaha.

    ;-)

Please review the many edits above!!

Remember that a Nebadon year equals about 5 Urantia years…so do the math!

    = )

More math for conjecture, speculation, and calculations:

So…how long does it take to complete the habitation of 10,000,000 evolutionary worlds in a local universe?

How long does it take such a world to go from human habitation to progress through the Mortal Epochs to the first stage of Light and Life? How long then to the seventh and pinnacle stage of Light and Life?

The capital of Nebadon, Salvington, was completed about ?????? years ago.

Nebadon is about 40% inhabited and our local System, Satania is over 60% inhabited. How long ago was the first inhabited world inhabited or implanted in Nebadon?

Michael completed his first of 7 bestowals about 1 billion years ago on
the Melchezidek HQ sphere circling Salvington.

Urantia received life implantation about a half billion years ago (550 million or so) and was declared inhabited one million years ago.

How long does it take for a mortal fused with the God Fragment to get to Paradise? Not nearly so long as such planetary, System, and Local Universe evolutionary progression I do not think! This allows ample time for trillions of trillions of Finaliters to gain significant experiential wisdom acquired over time as we serve the universes of time and space.

119:0.7 (1309.1) The local universe of Nebadon is now ruled by a Creator Son who has completed his service of bestowal; he reigns in just and merciful supremacy over all the vast realms of his evolving and perfecting universe. Michael of Nebadon is the 611,121st bestowal of the Eternal Son upon the universes of time and space, and he began the organization of your local universe about four hundred billion years ago. Michael made ready for his first bestowal adventure about the time Urantia was taking on its present form, one billion years ago. His bestowals have occurred about one hundred and fifty million years apart, the last taking place on Urantia nineteen hundred years ago. I will now proceed to unfold the nature and character of these bestowals as fully as my commission permits.

32:2.3 (358.5) The first completed act of physical creation in Nebadon consisted in the organization of the headquarters world, the architectural sphere of Salvington, with its satellites. From the time of the initial moves of the power centers and physical controllers to the arrival of the living staff on the completed spheres of Salvington, there intervened a little over one billion years of your present planetary time. The construction of Salvington was immediately followed by the creation of the one hundred headquarters worlds of the projected constellations and the ten thousand headquarters spheres of the projected local systems of planetary control and administration, together with their architectural satellites. Such architectural worlds are designed to accommodate both physical and spiritual personalities as well as the intervening morontia or transition stages of being.

Nebadon now is old enough to have mortal representatives who are Trinitized Finaliters:

22:2.4 (245.4) The senior Mighty Messengers were chosen from those ascendant mortals of time and space who were among the earlier Paradise arrivals, many having traversed Havona in the times of Grandfanda. But the first trinitizing of Mighty Messengers was not effected until the candidate corps contained representatives from each of the seven superuniverses. And the last group of this order to qualify on Paradise embraced ascendant pilgrims from the local universe of Nebadon.

22:3.2 (246.3) Seventy thousand of Those High in Authority are trinitized at each Trinity liaison. Though the local universe of Nebadon is a comparatively young creation, it has representatives among a recently trinitized class of this order….
