Reader Request for one-on-one dialogue

Hello to all my friends and fellow students of The Urantia Book,

I have received a request from a woman named Greta, who has been unable to register on the Forum, mainly due to technical problems. She would nevertheless like to establish contact with any readers who might be willing to engage in conversations about the Revelation via emails. She is very keen to learn more about the book but needs assistance with some of the more difficult sections. She has given me permission to reproduce her letter of request on the Forum. So here it is:

« I don’t know if you have any kind of electronic bulletin board that

other members see, but if so, I would like to post a notice to anyone

who might be interested in a one-on-one dialogue.  If they would like

to correspond with me directly for the purpose of studying and discussing

the Urantia Book, I would be happy to do so through regular e-mail.  This

was the method of communication I was originally interested in establishing

when someone suggested the Forum.  When I explained my problems with

the Forum, they referred me to you.

I appreciate your efforts but my needs are actually quite simple and don’t

really require a Forum.   The occasional input of two or three serious

students — or even a single individual — would be fine.  Just someone to

share opinions and ideas with, along with some different perspectives.

As far as local reading groups in my area are concerned, I attended one that

confined itself to the Jesus Papers.  They seemed intimidated by the earlier

portions of the book.  Another group is run by an elderly lady who admits

she can’t really count on any turnout from one week to the next, so I have

never pursued that one.

I have been reading the Urantia Book on my own since the early 1990s, but

it would be nice to have someone to talk to and study with.

‘above and beyond’, as they say, and it’s sincerely appreciated. »

While this may not be what she wants, have you considered telling her about an online study group that uses Zoom or Skype? Some of the material in the ub, in my opinion, is to complex for email.
