    Dear Truth, Beauty, Goodness lovers,

It was gratifying to hear the Pope expound on Truth, Beauty and Goodness in his speech in Philadelphia last month on the family. Have a listen, he begins talking about TB&G at the 1 minute mark and continues for over two minutes, on this Youtube video:

I’ve heard several times the Vatican has several copies of TUB.  If so, they are familiar with the teachings.  Is it possible the Pope has read the book?  Yes, but maybe he hasn’t and is speaking from his heart!  Given his liking in the world, he will attract people to TB&G applied to life and aspirations.

agree Mark – even if the pope has not read the UB , it testifies to his state of mind and heart that the spirit of Truth truly moves this man on all levels. yes – may  his ‘spiritual flavor’ attract many a soul in bonds of the old scaffolding .

Great capture with this video. How did America ( and it’s press media) respond afterwards to the papal visit? Is it ever a lasting impact I wonder?

Rita, the media has a very short attention span, it moved on almost immediately after Francis’ visit. But there lingers a feeling of hope in his wake, and not just here in the US. The whole world is watching and waiting to see if the old Christian church can rise again, this time to the multifaceted challenge of 21st century spiritual demand.

…The modern age will refuse to accept a religion which is inconsistent with facts and out of harmony with its highest conceptions of truth, beauty, and goodness. The hour is striking for a rediscovery of the true and original foundations of present-day distorted and compromised Christianity — the real life and teachings of Jesus…. (2083.1) 195:9.5

Maybe he can turn the great ship of Catholicism in a new direction (if he lives long enough and his course corrections don’t suffer the same fate as Ikhnaton’s) and attract the many lost souls hungering for truth and righteousness. Argentinian readers tell me Francis has read the UB, and many of his statements seem to affirm that he believes it. What a boon it would be for all Urantia if the Vatican would begin espousing our new revelation.
