Here’s a place to share poetry of yours or of someone else. I am not a poet (neither am I a painter or a musician, though I enjoy painting and plinking on the piano). I probably wrote 6 poems in my entire life. Here is one I wrote about ten years ago. I post it for our mutual edification and inspiration.
Wolfing It Down
To sate a hunger
only known to humans experienced in
starvation
– a particular kind of spiritual undernourishment –
some people,
by reason of a craving for
bread,
asked God to point the way to His bakery.
In that very moment they
caught a whiff of warm bread
fresh from His oven
and,
following this scent to the Bread-giver,
began wolfing it down.
Now, if you are so inclined, share something with us.
